Le groupe « The Nonce » composé de Nouka Basetype et Yusef Afloat, a durant presque une décennie marqué la scène californienne à travers leurs disques sortis sur le label Wild West. Ce duo a participé aux heures de gloire du Good Life Café et a contribué à l’essor d’une scène underground los angelinoise. Malgré cela The Nonce n’a jamais eu la carrière escomptée, carrière brutalement brisée par la mort de Yusef Afloat en mai 2000.
Dix ans après la mort de Yusef, Bachir décide de leur rendre hommage à travers ce mix exclusif, qui revient sur la discographie du duo, mais également sur les productions qu’ils ont pu faire pour d’autres rappeurs tels que Aceyalone, et enfin sur la carrière solo de Nouka Basetype aka Sach.
